Was it a warm and sunny spot you were hoping for? Well, the Florida Keys is the perfect choice for you! The Keys are the place to be, especially during these winter months. This is one of the few options in the country that offers warmth and sunshine no matter the time of year. The tropical beauty of The Keys is really just a bonus!
Suppose you are traveling with children or looking for some fun things to do while on your vacation; well, The Keys is full of opportunities, including snorkeling, boating, swimming, and kayaking, just to name a few. Also, countless attractions are just a short drive away! You can visit Everglades National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park, and Biscayne National Park for a quick day trip.
Finding a campground definitely isn’t going to be an issue, but you may struggle to get in. Be sure to plan ahead to make sure you get a spot at this magical location.
Are you looking for somewhere with fewer people? Not many people have heard of Moab, but this little town is considered one of the best places to go in an RV. The area offers numerous boondocking opportunities as well as free drinking water and even free dump stations.
More importantly, the views of Moab are incredible. The town is the home of the fabulous Arches National Park and is also very close to Canyonlands National Park.
There are plenty of opportunities to get outside here with all the hiking trails, biking opportunities, and rock-climbing locations just outside of the town. In case you need more convincing, there are also free performances and other artsy events found within the town and are known to be fantastic.
And, of course, there are the National Parks! Three of our favorites are Yellowstone National Park, Zion National Park, and Sequoia National Park.
Yellowstone National Park is the oldest in the country and one of the most popular. It is unique due to the collection of hydrothermal wonders. The hot waters allow for life to continue even under the thick snow of winter.
The Zion National Park is also very popular, but one you should not miss. The pink, cream, and red colors that are featured throughout the park are breathtaking, as well as the vast sandstone cliff that towers above you, reminding you of how powerful nature truly is.

Our final recommendation is the Sequoia National Park. Here you will find more incredible views and sequoia trees that are just mind-blowingly huge.
We specifically love that for a large part of the year; there is snow on the top of the mountains in this park. That means that if you’re looking for a snowy spot, look no further! Snow play here is possible even in later spring and early fall!
