Towing The Montana 5th Wheel

Montana 5th Wheel: The Best Towing Trailer on the Road

The folks at Keystone RV have done it again with the 2010 Montana 5th Wheel travel trailer. The upgrades to the new Hickory Edition are nothing less than spectacular.

To start with they have incorporated “Max Turn Technology” into the front frame and cap design. Not only does it have the most aerodynamic front cap in the industry, it is downright beautiful. This allows you an incredible 79 degree truck to fifth wheel turning radius that makes 90 degree turns on busy streets easier than ever before. Backing your 5th wheel into a tight space is no longer a burden with “Max Turn.”

The optional rubber mounted Mor/ryde pin box provides you a cushioning that eliminates clunking sounds during starts and stops and lessens the harshness of road travel. The patented “Hitch Vision” system lets you see where your hitch-pin is and with standard lighted docking lights, you will never miss the hitch pin again.

The suspension system is also state of the art. The Mor/ryde rubber mounted suspension is unique to the industry in that it reduces road shock by 30% and allows over 4 inches of axel travel for superior equalization and a smoother ride and better control when you are on the road.

The Montana comes standard with 235/80R16 radial tires that ensure you have the traction and grip on the road you will need in any driving situation. The easy lube axels mean you will never have to pull your wheels again to service your axel bearings.

The solid one piece poly underbelly means you have great aerodynamic flow under your 5th wheel for increased gas mileage. This also keeps out road debris and critters who like to crawl into places they do not belong. The underbelly is also insulated and heated so your tanks and water lines will never freeze again.

When you get to your camp site, you also have the convenience of the “Easy Set Remote Control System” to simplify setup and operation of the rear electric and front jacks, the electric awning, hydraulic slide outs, and patio security lights with a push of a button.

These are just a few of the latest, state of the art features found in a Montana 5th wheel travel trailer.
